June-July 2002 Netcdf Pixel-Level GOES-8 VISST: CRYSTAL Domain
NOTE: These files represent version 3 of the beta-level
CRYSTAL VISST results.
An updated narrowband to broadband conversion, differentiated for land and
water, was used. See the documentation of the files for more information.
If you downloaded these netcdf files between ~July 25 and August 28, 2003, the
time_offset was incorrectly set to 0. The filenames have been replaced, and now
contain the correct time and day information. A navigational error (approximately
one pixel in the latitude and longitude) was also fixed and made available on this website as of
February 24, 2005. A more complete dataset, in packed binary format, can be found
at the
Satellite Imagery and Cloud Products Page.
